I made the drawings for an exhibition that the two friends who exhibited with me and I called «Line of Enquiry.» I found that with the objects I chose – fragments of metal and wood, or the change of light on the trees and buildings across from our house – close observation revealed not only details, but the «real» nature of the objects, that a cursory glance did not show. Observing carefully, and seeking an analogy in drawing made the form apparent, and showed an unsuspected essence.

Hice los dibujos para una exposición que, con dos amigos que exhibieron conmigo, llamamos «Línea de investigación». Observé, con los objetos que elegí – fragmentos de metal y madera, o el juego de luces en los árboles y edificios de enfrente de nuestra casa –, que una mirada cercana no solo revelaba detalles, sino también la naturaleza «real» de los objetos, que no se veían con una mirada superficial. Observar cuidadosamente y buscar una analogía en el dibujo hizo que la forma se manifestara y mostró una esencia insospechada.
